Q. Where are the meetings ?

A. Meetings are held at the University of the West of England (UWE), Frenchay Campus, Coldharbour Lane, Bristol, BS16 1QY (0117 965 6261). We will be in room 2Q49 (in Q block). You can find directions to the university at http://www.uwe.ac.uk/maps/frenchay_directions.shtml. When you get to the university the guard can give you a map of the university to find Q block or you can find one at http://www.uwe.ac.uk/maps/frenchay_map.shtml. Park in Car Park 1 (and remember to bring a map to get to the room).

Q. How much is membership to The .NET Developer Network ?

A. It's free. You have to pay for your drinks at the bar at the meetings.

Q. How do I join ?

A. Click on the Register link at the top of the page and fill in the information and you will be sent a verification email. Answer the email and you're in. Please fill in your preferences in your profile - this really helps us.

Q. How do I change my profile ?

A. Login. At the top of the page you will see your name. Click on it and then click on the Manage Profile button.

Q. I don't want to receive the Newsletter emails - can I unsubscribe from these ?

A. Yes. Sign in and open your profile (click on your name in the top right hand corner of each page). Click on the Manage Services button and next to "Newsletter Subscribers" click on the Unsubscribe link.

Q. How do I sign up for a meeting ?

A. If you are a student of staff at UWE you don't need to sign up - you can just turn up on the door with some UWE ID. If you are not a student of staff at UWE login in to this site and go to the Meetings page. On the right hand side you will see a box with a caption "Register For A Meeting". In the drop down select the month of the meeting and then click on the Register link. If you later discover that you cannot attend please let us know (by email) so that we can give your place to someone else (numbers are limited by fire regulations).

Q. How can I tell whether I am signed up for a meeting ?

A. Login and go to the Meetings page. Try to register for the meeting and if you are already registered it will tell you.

Q. Can I just turn up to a meeting without signing up for it ?

A. No (unless you are a student or staff at UWE). We need to know numbers to meet fire and safety regulations.

Q. How often are the meetings ?

A. Monthly with no meeting in August.

Q. When do the meetings start and end ?

A. Meetings start at 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm) and the presentation ends at 9:00pm when we all go to the bar.

Q. Can I ask for specific subjects or speakers for future meetings ?

A. Yes - we really want to know. Fill in the "Subjects And Speakers You Would Like To See" section in your profile.

Q. What is the goal of the .NET Developer Network ?

A. To develop and promote the .NET developers, architects and IT pros of Bristol and the South West.
